FarmDroid has appointed Mark Brummel as Chairman of the Board. He takes over from Richa Hallundbæk Misri, who steps down after seven years as chair as part of a planned succession and continues as a member of the board.

Mark brings 25 years of international leadership in the dairy and agricultural technology sector. He has held roles including Managing Director Business Team Milking and Regional Director WEMEA at Lely, and executive leadership positions with DeLaval across Australia, New Zealand, Asia Pacific, and Europe. His work has centred on strategy, innovation, market development, and building international businesses.

“Good governance is not about control; it is about providing clarity of direction, asking the right questions, and enabling management to succeed,” says Mark Brummel and continues: “I am honoured to support FarmDroid as it continues to shape the future of sustainable agriculture through innovation and growth.”

Mark will work with the board and management team to help accelerate the company’s next phase of growth and international development.

Richa joined the board from Universal Robots when FarmDroid was still an early-stage startup, and led it through seven years of the company’s growth. She was a fan of the FarmDroid culture from day one, right down to adopting the obligatory after-lunch burpee session, board meetings included. She was also part of the process to find her successor, and is not going far: she continues as a board member, alongside representatives from Convent Capital, Navus Ventures, and REInvest Robotics.

Reflecting on the handover, Richa Hallundbæk Misri said:

“After a planned succession, I now hand over the chair to Mark Brummel. With his strong international experience and deep insight into agriculture from Lely, I am confident that the role is in very capable hands. I want to thank every colleague at FarmDroid. Your commitment and constant focus on improving the solutions have been decisive for the company. Thank you for seven fantastic years.”

FarmDroid CEO Kristian Warming thanked Richa for her seven years as chair:

“Richa is direct and never afraid to speak up. She took real ownership of FarmDroid and kept us moving forward, through remarkable growth and through the harder periods, always toward the best outcome for the company. We are glad she continues on the board.”

The change marks a planned transition as FarmDroid continues to grow its work in autonomous field robotics across 26 countries.
