Your unique farming platform
FarmDroid's autonomous field robots seed and mechanically weed row crops without herbicides. By using high precision RTK GPS, with an accuracy of 8 mm, they mark the exact position of every seed at seeding, then weed around it later, both between the rows and inside the rows, with no camera needed.
FarmDroid FD20 handles up to 12 rows and 3.5 m working width, built for fields of approximately 20 hectares. Four onboard solar panels charge the robot battery for up to 24 hours of CO2-neutral operation a day.FarmDroid FD60 handles up to 20 rows and 6.75 m working width, recommended for around 60 hectares a season, and its larger seeding system takes on bigger-seeded crops like maize and beans at field scale. Solar power and a built-in Range Extender both keep its battery charged, and the battery drives the robot, so FD60 can run up to 24 hours a day on as little as 1 to 1.5 litres of fuel per hectare.

Advantages of
Autonomous seeding and weeding
Can the robot really do both seeding and weeding? Yes! The FarmDroid will take care of both seeding as well as inter-row and intra-row weeding.
Renewable energy
FarmDroid runs on the sun. FD20 is completely electrical: four solar panels charge its battery, and the battery drives the robot; an optional Power Bank adds up to 12 extra hours of runtime during poor weather. FD60 takes a solar-first approach: solar power charges its battery through most of the season, and a built-in Range Extender tops it up when the sun doesn't, so the robot keeps running on as little as 1 to 1.5 litres of fuel per hectare.
High Precision seeding
FarmDroid has a “one of a kind” precision when it comes to seeding, due to its patented seeding system. Equipped with RTK GPS and sensors, the droid creates a perfect seeding pattern.

Inter-row and intra-row weeding can be performed with unpreceded precision. Since the FD20 continuously performs high precision weeding, our customers get up to a 40% increase in yield. In combination with our +Spray system, you can also reduce the use of chemicals with up to 94%
Minimal soil compaction
Soil compaction has been shown to destroy the soil’s microstructure and reduce yield up to 20%. Because FarmDroid FD20 only weighs 1250 kg the impact on the soil is minimal.
Up to 24 hours daily operation
FD20 and FD60 both work up to 24 hours a day. FD20's solar panels keep its battery charged, covering up to 6 hectares a day; FD60's battery is topped up by solar power and a built-in Range Extender, covering up to 18 hectares a day on as little as 1 to 1.5 litres of fuel per hectare.
Seed and weed 100+ different crops and vegetables
“If we can seed it, we can weed it”. We have tested and designed seed discs for more than 100 different crops and vegetables. If we haven’t tested it, send us your seed sample and we will design a new seed disc for you.
