We are excited to announce the first winner of the FarmDroid Photo Competition 2026.
The winning photo in the Seeding category was submitted by our customer Ste Evans from the company Shropshire Petals in the UK.
First of all, thank you to everyone who has already participated in the competition. We have received many great photos from farmers across Europe, showing FarmDroid robots in real working conditions and from many different perspectives. That is exactly what this competition is about. Creating a community where farmers can share their everyday moments from the field and inspire each other.
Why this photo stood out
The winning image captured several elements that matched the Seeding category perfectly.
Not only does the photo clearly show FarmDroid robots actively seeding in the field, it also tells a larger story about the work happening around them. In the background, field preparation is still ongoing, highlighting a busy and critical period during the season where timing matters and multiple operations happen simultaneously.
The composition and angle of the image also create strong depth and perspective, naturally drawing attention towards the robots at work while still showing the wider farming environment.
Overall, the image combines storytelling, atmosphere, and real field activity in a way that represents the spirit of the competition very well.
The competition in the Seeding category was close, and three other great photos were part of the final selection.
