The Triesdorf Johannitag is not just a classic in the Franconian events calendar – with around 30,000 visitors annually, it also ranks nationwide as one of the major events in the agricultural industry. Started in 1976 as a “Family Day,” the Johannitag traditionally takes place on the last Sunday in June and attracts guests from near and far to the green Mecca of Triesdorf. On this open day, all ten local schools, as well as the Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences, showcase the diversity of their educational offerings and are available for consultations. The colorful program of information, entertainment, and culinary delights leaves nothing to be desired. Highlights include over 300 exhibitors, the large agricultural machinery exhibition at the Center for Energy and Agricultural Engineering, and the diverse children’s program, where the little ones are also fully catered for.
