WHICH CROPS CAN FARMDROID SEED?
Our FarmDroid FD20 has successfully seeded and weeded a wide variety of crops, and the list continues to expand. Farmers have effectively utilized FarmDroid for crops such as sugar beet, beetroot/red beet, onion, spinach, salad, kale, rapeseed, cauliflower, broccoli, turnip, flower seeds, and various herbs.
We have extensively tested and designed seed discs for more than 50 different crops. If your specific crop hasn’t been tested yet and you’re unsure if FarmDroid is suitable for your needs, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We’re more than happy to investigate and conduct tests in our dedicated test lab.
IN WHICH FIELD CONDITIONS CAN FARMDROID SEED?
FarmDroid can navigate various types of field terrain throughout all seasons. Unless the soil is rocky, muddy or flooded, our robot will operate with its usual precision.
Is it possible to buy a robot only with seeding function?
No, FarmDroid FD20 is designed as an integrated seeding and weeding robot. Economically, it would not make sense to use it only for seeding, as its full potential lies in combining precision seeding with mechanical weeding. If spraying is also needed, our +Spray system can be added.
Can FarmDroid seed in clusters?
Yes, FarmDroid FD20 allows for single seed placement, line seeding, or cluster seeding, depending on your specific crop requirements. This adaptability enables you to determine the number of seeds sown at each location, helping you achieve your desired yield per hectare.
Does the robot notify me if any seeding issues occur during operation?
Yes, FarmDroid notifies you via the FarmDroid App if any seeding issues occur during operation. The app provides real-time updates and alerts, ensuring you are informed about the robot’s status and any required actions. Can the robot handle different row spacings and planting depths?
Yes, FarmDroid can handle different row spacings and planting depths. The robot is highly adaptable, allowing you to customize these settings according to your specific crop requirements. If you would like more information, please contact our farming robot experts.
How many hectars can FarmDroid seed per day?
One FarmDroid robot can seed approximately 5 hectars per day, running on solar energy and batteries under optimal weather conditions. If there is insufficient sunlight to power your FarmDroid for extended periods, you can add a Power Bank to your robot. You can charge the Power Bank at the farm and increase capacity by combining multiple robots, as they can work together in the same field or in several fields simultaneously.
Can I seed different crops with the same robot?
Yes, FarmDroid is flexible enough to seed different crops with the same robot. You can seed one field with one type of crop and another field with a different crop. Additionally, you can seed the same field with different crops by filling the seed containers with different seeds, but this requires that the row distance is the same for both crops.
