Meet Us
Hej! We are a Danish company based in the southern region of Denmark.
Our employees are a colorful group of people of different backgrounds and interests, coming together in a passion in doing something good for our environment while building kick-a** products for farmers.
Our Mission
We go to work each day to help farmers and growers reduce costs of sowing and weeding crops while also doing it in a more CO2 neutral and sustainable way.

- Winter
2011Hand weeding is hard work
Jens Vest Warming just finished his degree in mechanical engineering and was out of a job. To stay busy he was hand weeding sugar beets on his family’s organic farm. He was overwhelmed with the amount of manual work that the sugar beets required and thought to himself that there had to be a smarter way to do it. That was when he started developing the concept of the FarmDroid robot – an automated solution for weed control.
- Summer
2012Another brother joins in
At first Kristian was only a sparring partner for Jens, but over time the robot project became too interesting to remain on the sidelines. As an electrician Kristian was also a nerd by heart but also had farming under his skin from their family farm. Kristian chose to jump on the train, which quickly turned into a lightning train.
- Fall
2017Many prototypes later it could go straight!
Working intensely on the robot platform in their spare the Warming brothers cracked the code and now had a prototype that could actually go straight, which is the most important thing in precision farming.
- Spring
2018The company is formally founded
Jens and Kristian worked so hard on their hobby project it was starting to take a toll on their family life. They had to take a decision, should they go all-in on their dream of creating a farming robot that solves a lot of challenges in farming, or should they just take the easy way out and focus on their existing career. Fortuneatly they chose to found FarmDroid.
