Fully automatic seeding and weeding

There is no need for monitoring FarmDroid, it is autonomous and takes care of seeding and weeding by itself using high-precision GPS technology.

Row spacing, plant distance, seeding depth as well as speed and tolerance of the robot can all be adjusted to fit the farmer’s specific crops, type of soil and individual wishes. Should anything deviate from the robot’s specific settings, it will automatically stop working and notify the farmer.

FD20 is developed to handle different crops, and you can thus use the same robot for e.g., sugar beets and onions. We have experience with many different crops, including sugar beets, onions, spinach, flower seeds, canola, and parsley, and we are continually adding more crops to the robot’s capacity. Contact us if you want to hear more about your possibilities with FarmDroid and you have a crop that you consider using an FD20 for.

  • Enhanced yield

precise weeding reduces or even eliminates the need for hard, manual labor

Extremely precise weeding between the rows and inside the rows gives the crops optimal growth conditions without having to compete with weeds for nutrition and sunlight.

  • Start weeding before the plants germinate

    Using accurate GPS technology

FarmDroid FD20 uses high-precision GPS technology to seed the crops, so it knows it exactly where to weed. It does not depend on cameras or sensors to recognize the weeds, which contributes to increased operational stability. Extreme precision when seeding assures that the robot knows the exact position of each individual crop and for this reason it can start the weeding process at a very early stage – even before the crops have germinated! This will guarantee that the weed are kept down strictly.

  • Preserves the soil's microstructure

because of the robot’s light weight

Unlike today’s massive and heavy agricultural machines, the robot’s light weight of only 900 kg ensures that the soil’s delicate microstructure is not damaged.

  • Green energy and co2 Neutral operation

solar panels power the robot’s batteries

The robot is powered by two batteries that are charged by four solar panels placed on top of the robot. The solar panels can deliver up to 1,6 kWh, equivalent to 20 kWh a day, providing the FarmDroid with enough power to avoid externally charging the batteries. Since FarmDroid runs solely on the power generated from the solar panels, it operates in a 100% CO2 neutral way!

  • Payback period as low as 2 years

eliminate or reduce the number of manual labor hours

With a FarmDroid you will strongly reduce or even completely eliminate the need for time-consuming, tiring, and hard manual work. Therefore, we have many examples of payback periods as low as 2 years!
